So after a week off due to crappy internet on my part, we’re back and rolling this week. And ohhhhh all the stupid people.
We talk about John “Logan Act” Kerry, Bob Mueller, the breaking news regarding NY AG Eric Schneiderman, the Alphabet/gay rights insanity (yup, Alex went there), David French’s post at NRO about Trump and Evangelicals, and of course we wander about as always.
So this week on Drift Compatible we have not one but two guests. We welcome back our previous guest and good buddy, host of WATR’s Talk of the Town out of Waterbury, Conn…..Steve Noxon.
KURT SCHLICHTER
We have a second guest that Steve was kind enough to put us in touch with. You may have guessed, but that guest is KURT SCHLICHTER. Yes. That one.
We spend a good bit of time just chatting like normal before getting in the meatier topic of the 1500 person caravan/invasion currently coming up through Mexico. Kurt has been in Desert Storm, Kosovo, and the LA Riots, so I really wanted to hear what he had to say about the National Guard being sent to the Southern Border. What would that look like? What would the responsibilities of the Guard units? If the situation on the ground changed, would the Guard units step up to act as more than “in an advisory capacity”?
We spent some time talking freedom and liberal power and what the various end goals actually are.
After a good long talk with Kurt, he had to go take care of other commitments, but Alex, Steve, and I continued on. With discussions on Kennedys, the KW debacle, the relationship between….let’s call them professional class and working class Republicans and Conservatives. And that’s really just the start. Our discussions were far ranging and highly intelligent.
One of those is likely true.
At the very end we briefly discussed some entertainment stuff…
Which you’ll have to listen and find yourself since I can’t seem to have any luck finding the appropriate links.
Anywho, here you go folks, another episode of Drift Compatible, this time with KURT SCHLICHTER.
Back at it again. This episode is actually a bit shorter than usual. Only 90 minutes instead of the normal 2+ hours. It’s the culmination of Alex’ High Holy Days, after all.
This week Alex and I touch again on the topic of….issues….within our judicial system. First looking at the story of a Chicago man wrongfully convicted of rape and murder 26 years ago and then moving on to a brief discussion of the not guilty verdict for the wife of the man who shot up the Pulse nightclub. We also somehow made it from institutional problems in our judicial system allllll the way over to race relations and identity politics. How? You’ll have to listen to find out.
Then on to the screeching and yelling and flailing and cursing about Civil Asset Forfeiture, the DEA specifically, and the DOJ more broadly.
Alright folks, we were both bored and annoyed at the various crap circulating, so we talked around the news a lot.
But we did talk about the current education system and its failings; the insanity of the march and the lying (apparently) students from the shooting; and McMaster out/Bolton in.
We also corrected a mistake that Buzzion alerted us to.
Back recording this week after a thankfully short-lived illness.
Alex and I discuss March Madness, a nod towards baseball starting soon, and all sorts of other goodies. A long discussion on John Grisham’s article in the LA Times on improper/incorrect convictions in our judicial system.
We also spend some time onMcCabe’s firing and improper influence by POTUS.
We finish off the pod with a discussion on current and upcoming video games that we’re looking forward to in response to a question posed by @PWilliamKitty.
As always, we wander near and far in our discussions. And Never Forget…NSFW USE HEADPHONES DO NOT LISTEN NEAR SMALL CHILDREN.

What can we say but thank you. Thank you folks for listening. For the compliments, complaints, criticisms, suggestions. Every bit of it. So we were fortunate enough to have a guest with us this week. The host of WATR’s Talk of the Town midday show out of Waterbury, Conn., Steve Noxon. Steve has been a friend of ours for a long time and is an original Moron.
We discussed both old business and new business. You will get to hear some old school stories. You also get to hear a…spirited….discussion on guns and on the idea of GVROs. Don’t know what those are? You certainly will.
We hope you all enjoy this 50th episode. We hope you’ve enjoyed the first 49 episodes. And we hope you’ll keep enjoying episodes for a long time to come.
New house. New setup. New mixing software (THANKS FOR THAT UPDATE, GARAGEBAND). But same old NSFW podcast.
Alright, after some standard joking around, catching up, updating folks, we get down to business. There’s really only one story going right now, but it hits a ton of different areas. We spend this podcast on the Broward County school shooting.
I swear. A LOT. Alex….well, you’ll just have to see.
We don’t do any entertainment stuff this week (except for one little recommendation), but we do have an announcement about next week’s pod.
Thanks for hanging with us and we’re pumped to be back!
Hey everyone. Obviously Alex and I have been gone for a couple weeks. I wanted to go ahead and let everyone know that we are TEMPORARILY suspending the podcast.
Neither of us really wants to, but real life has made it necessary. A combination of personal and health reasons involving us both is requiring all of our time and focus.
Let me be clear, this isn’t done. We’re not done. We will be back. We just need the time to settle the real life crap that’s happening.
We apologize to all of you who listen and look forward to these podcasts. Know that we love you guys. Your continued support over the last two years has been incredible and humbling.
For right now, we ask two things of you: patience and prayers.
After a week off due to various life crap, Alex and I are back and rambling this week.
Basic topics include the riot (let’s call it what it is) at Middlebury over Charles Murray daring to speak there, wiretapping of course, laughter at The Oscars, stupid tweets, life lessons, baseball, and anything else that happens to pop into our heads.
