I feel for you, Alex.
Pooky will be short on sleep, so his sanity starts sliding, so he takes sleeping pills, but is trapped in his PTSD nightmares, so he starts avoiding sleep, aaaaannnd the cycle starts all over again.
At least his doctors know what’s going on, even if they struggle to help him. It sounds like I’m going to be a designated “caregiver” by the VA so that I can get paid for dealing with this, so that will be nice.
I’m pretty sure that lithium is more a problem for the thyroid than the liver. It’s a salt, so it’s not really metabolized I know way more about the pitfalls of therapeutic lithium than is safe for a man.

I confess that I’ve never seen “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” all the way through. I’ll put it on the list.
Lastly, always remember that there is no cause so righteous that you can’t find a complete asshole in favor of it.
I’d been saving the podcast for one of my long walks, so a bit late.
See, I live in TN. Anyone that has been to Oak Ridge and spent any time there can certainly fathom it wasn’t too hard to keep Secret City a secret. Virtually the entire stretch of 40 between Nashville and Knoxville doesn’t have much– once past Lebanon it’s mostly nothing. 70 miles to Cookeville. 28 more to Crossville / Fairfield Glade / Crab Orchard. Midtown/Kingston/Harriman pops up 35 miles after that. Oak Ridge is a ways bit farther north– surrounded by hills and hollers. One of those places one must aim to get to deliberately.
Oh and ORNL is completely and totally #woke. Avoid.
